Irregular Plural Nouns

• Irregular plural nouns do NOT add -s, -es, or -ies when they are plurals.

• The plural of person is people.

• The plural of child is children.

• The plural of mouse is mice.

• The plural of fish is fish.

• A singular possessive noun is when a person, place or thing owns something.

• It is also when a person place or thing 'has' something.

• Just add an apostrophe-s ( 's ) to show possession.

What if a plural noun is possessive?

• First notice if the noun is a plural.

• If the plural noun ends in an 's', you DO NOT NEED TO ADD ANOTHER 'S'!

• Just add the APOSTROPHE!

If the noun is a plural and ends in an 's', just add an APOSTROPHE ( ' ) !
