When you bring water inside the cell

Somewhat able to hold its shape

Not allowing anything to pass through the membrane

Only letting certain things pass through the membrane

Not letting anything pass through the membrane without a protein channel

Made of two layers (bilayer)

Made of phsopholipids

The outside layer loves water and the inside layer hates water

It allows everything to pass through freely

Molecules spread out from a high concentration to a low concentration

Molecules come back together from a low concentration to a high concentration

Molecules are evenly spread throughout the room without any effort

The cell uses ATP (energy) to bring the molecules from a low concentration back to a high concentration

The cell is unable to do this because it goes against what molecules can do naturally

The molecules can move from low to high freely without any help at all
