HINT: Compound means two or more elements. Therefore, a compound predicate is simply one subject followed by two verbs.

Dependent clauses BEFORE an independent have a comma between the clauses

You can also split the ind. clause: ind. clause part 1, dependent clause, ind. clause part 2 EX: My dog, who loves treats, will do all kinds of tricks.
A compound-complex sentence has a compound sentence (2 or more independent clauses) plus one or more dependent clauses.
So basically, sentences are a type of math equation!
