Difficulty scale and shape theory.

Learning aims:

Understanding the difficulty scale and how it impacts us as artists.

To use and develop our skills in shape theory.

To put shape theory into practice to draw a series of animals.

What is the difficulty scale?

The difficulty scale simply put is how difficult something is to draw based on how exposed to it we are as a society. Things we see every day will be harder to draw effectivley than something we do not see as much.

The video on the next slide explains it, please take notes for WordPress as you watch.

In Photoshop I will show you the basics of shape theory and how we can use this to draw animals with ease.

Shape theory demo

Consider where you sit on the difficulty scale, you have 60 minutes to draw your own animal.

Stretch challenge:
If you can draw one move one up the scale and try and draw more.

Your turn!
