The imperative is how we say a command. Example:

"You drank water" (indicative)
"Drink water" (imperative)

What is the imperative?

Affirmative imperatives are used to tell someone to do something.

Example: "Move the box."
Ejemplo: "Mueve la caja."

​Negative imperatives are used to tell someone to not do something.

Example: "Don't move the box."
Ejemplo: "No muevas la caja."
