Station 1:

-Ruler Shi Huangdi drove out nomadic invaders to the north. He ruled using Legalism and ordered the burning of books of ideas he disliked.

Station 2:

-To gain control he took land from the nobles and forced them to live in the capital. He unified China by building highways and establishing set currency, writing system, and gov't standards.

Station 3:

- The Great Wall of China was built to keep out nomadic invaders to the north.
- Thousands of peasants and criminals were forced to build the wall. Many workers died from the hard labor.

- The Han Dynasty used Confucianism to rule by establishing a strong central government, lowering taxes and less harsh punishments.

Station 6:

- The Han dynasty was successful and lasted for hundreds of years.
- The government sent Chinese farmers to marry conquered people to spread their culture. The government set up schools to teach people about Confucianism.
The Han dynasty was able to remain strong even through rebellions, revolts and floods because of a strong government and unified population.
