​Albanian issue in the Conference of Paris 1919

• ​Albanians - They hoped that the mistakes made against them in Berlin and London would be corrected;

• Italy- They wanted to have control in autonomous Center Albania, and they also intend to make the city of Vlora a part of their state.

• Greece- City of Korça and Gjirokastra

​Albanians' main request in Paris:

​Independence

​Paris conference decided to:

1. Approve Italy's requests;

2. Give the city of Gjirokaster to Greece;

3. SCS will get access to the Albanian Seas.

​The decisions of Paris were not implemented due to two reasons:

1. Resistance of the Albanians;

2. The support that the USA gave to Albania.

Congress of Lushnja 1920

• The Congress was created to oppose the decisions of the Paris Conference​;

• Congress was held from 28 to 31 January 1920

• The purpose of the congress was the fight for the liberation of the Albanian lands;

• President of Congress was Sylejman Delvina;

• The army resulting from the decisions of this congress managed to liberate cities such as Tirana, Durres, Shkodra, Gjirokastra, and Korça.

• During this period: Italy controlled the city of Vlora, and SCS controlled territories in North Albania.
