Charlemagne AKA Charles the Great emerges as a strong leader who unifies people while conquering nearby groups. In addition, he built many universities.

Feudalism is established: An economic & political system in which land is given to nobles by the king. This land is exchanged to knights/serfs for work/loyalty.

Under feudalism:

Nobles/Lords established manors. Land was given to the vassals/knights in exchange for protection. Land was also given to serfs in exchange for protection/free land for their ability to work the land.

Lords/Nobles-Lived in a home within a castle on a manor.
Serfs-Lived in small style huts.
During an Attack-Serfs, Vassals & Lords would all go within the castle walls for protection if needed.
