Serealia adalah: jenis tumbuhan golongan tanaman padi-padian/rumput=rumputan (Gramineae) yang dibudidayakan untuk menghasilkan bulir-bulir berisi biji-bijian sebagai sumber karbohidrat.
Umbi adalah: organ tumbuhan yang mnegalami perubahan ukuran dan bentuk ( pembengkakan) sebagai akibat perubahan fungsinya.
Kacang-kacangan adalah: biji berukuran lebih besar dibandingkan dengan serealia
