They express a condition (or cause) and a result (or effect)

There are four types of conditionals

Also called factual condition

We use them when we want to express a present condition and a present logical result

Structure: If / When + s. present, s. present.

Examples, When water boils, it evaporates. If you don't eat enough, you get hungry.

If you study hard, you will get good grades.

We will go back to school when the authorities say so.

If you eat too much, you will get sick.

We will go swimming if the weather is nice.
