  • Apply these verbs to food and cooking

  • Learn its other uses, such as advice

What is the imperative?

  • the imperative mood is the form of the verb that makes direct commands and requests.

  • It uses the 3rd Person singular form (él/ella/usted) in the present.

  • The verbs in this mood can also be called familiar commands.

Conjugation

  • Use affirmative forms when you are instructing someone to do something

  • Use the negative form by placing NO in front

  • The affirmative uses the él/ella/usted form

  • The negative uses the tú form flipped (-er/-ir flip to -ar ending)

  • Don't eat (comer) > No com-as

  • For regular verbs the endings are shown

  • For -ar verbs, drop the R

    flip to -es for the negative form

  • For -er/-ir drop the ending and replace with -e

  • Flip to -as for negative form
