verbs like gustar (to be pleasing to)

• encantar (to be delightful to)

• faltar (to be missing something)

• importar (to be important to)

• interesar (to be interesting to)

• parecer (to seem to)

• quedar (to fit someone)

So what's different?

• If I like one thing, then we say "Me gusta" because we are actually saying "It is pleasing to me" 

• ex:  Me gusta la comida.  = I like the food.

Me gusta el globo.

• 1 thing = gusta

​Me gustan los globos.

​more than 1 = gustan

Gustar is SPECIAL


INSTEAD OF NORMAL YO, TU, ETC.....

Gustar conjugates like this:

• gusta for ANYONE likes a singular thing

• gustan for ANYONE likes plural things

• write "A" and then the person's name or the REGULAR pronoun.

• A Paco, le gusta la sopa.

• A ellos, les gusta la pizza.

• A Ud., le gustan las galletas.
