Flexion- angle in the joint decreases (bend)

Extension- angle in the joint increases (straighten)

Abduction- away from the midline (star)

Adduction- towards the midline (pencil)

Think jumping jack..

Supine- dorsal side up, anterior portion up (belly up) ex: cup of soup

Prone- ventral side up, posterior portion up (back up) ex: back of hand

Plantar- toes are pointed (cheerleader, gymnast, gas pedal)

Dorsi- toes to sky, toes up (ankle taping position)

Head on a swivel (right or left)

Hip- Medial or Lateral Rotation
