You should cite:

• Websites

• Books

• Videos (like YouTube)

• Articles or news sources

• Images or charts

​How to Cite a Website (MLA Style)

Example Format:
Author Last Name, First Name. “Title of Webpage.” Website Name, Date, URL.

Example:
“Innocence Project.” Innocence Project, 2023, www.innocenceproject.org.

​In-Slide Citations

Use short citations in the corner of your slide:

Example:
(Innocence Project, 2023)
This shows your source without taking up too much space.

How to Cite a Book

Format:
Author Last Name, First Name. Title of Book. Publisher, Year.

Example:
Stevenson, Bryan. Just Mercy. Spiegel & Grau, 2014.

Format:
“Video Title.” Website Name, uploaded by Username, Date, URL.

Example:
“Innocence Project: Calvin Willis’ Story.” YouTube, uploaded by The Innocence Project, 16 May 2020.

​Works Cited Slide or Page

Always include a final slide or section with your sources.
Label it "Sources" or "Works Cited."

Example:
