Besides a country's HDI score, they can also be classified by the following:
Developed Country (most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, US, Mexico, Canada)
Advanced Developing Country (South Korea, Turkey, Brazil)
Developing Country (Algeria, Afghanistan)
Least Developed Country (33 of the 49 least developed are in Africa)
We no longer use the terms: First World or Third World as they have a negative meaning now.
