What do these words mean?
Compassion: When someone is going through a tough time, showing compassion might mean offering support or helping them through the difficult moment in practical ways.
Empathy: If a friend is grieving the loss of a loved one, empathy would mean feeling their sadness and being there for them emotionally, understanding their pain without necessarily trying to fix it.
Sympathy: If someone loses their job, you might express sympathy by saying, "I'm so sorry you're going through this," even if you don’t personally understand exactly how they feel.
Kindness: Simple acts like holding the door open for someone, offering to help someone carry something heavy, or giving a compliment can all be expressions of kindness.
