Line plots are a way for use to see a set of data more clearly. They make it especially easy to see the most a least common values in a set.
Line plots organize data in ascending order and show how many numbers in the data set match a value.
For example this line plot shows that 4
Crayons are 3 1/4 inches long while only 1
Crayon is 3 inches long.

To find how big a number set is you just need to the know the difference between the highest and the lowest numbers of the set.
