Steps for finding Volume of a Prism

• Find the area of the base.

• Multiply the area of the base and the height of the prism.

Rectangular PRISMS

• V = Bh

  • B is the AREA of the BASE

  • Can also be (l x w x h)​

• V= (2 x 5) 4

• V= (10) 4

• V= 40 in cube​

Triangular PRISMS

• V = Bh

  • B is the AREA of the BASE

  • Triangle Area = bh/2

  • Can also be(bh/2)h

• V = ({5 x 3}/2) x 10

• V = (15/2) x 10​

• V= 7.5 x 10

• V = 75 cm cube​
