Objectives of the lesson: To review the words about the seasons. Introduce a new vocabulary
for the months. To identify the months and to know them and relate them to the seasons.

Hello students!
Are you ready for lesson?
How are you today?
Update of knowledge A reminder of the
vocabulary for the seasons.
How many seasons are there?
What are they?
What’s your favorite season?
The teacher writes on the board the words
for the seasons by dropping 1-2 letters. The
teacher picks students up on the board to
write the missing letter on their favorite
season.
Afterwards the teacher plays a music video
on the Multimedia with the song: „Months
of the Year Song”-Singing Walrus
The teacher starts to sing with the song.

Students answer:

Spring, summer, autumn, winter
Students listen to the song. After
they watch me and hear me singing,
they start to sing with me.

After the song is over, she/he asks them to
guess what is going to be the lesson today.
Can you guess today lesson, kids?
Yes, today lesson is Months of the Year.
The teacher writes on the board the 12
Months, and after that reads them loud
while she/he is showing a flash cards (see
appendix 1)to the students coordinated to
the month. Flash card for January with
pronouncing January and so on until
December.
The teacher shows the children four
different Flash cards (see appendix 2) with
the seasons and asks them to say what
Month/months relates to summer card Then
the same for Winter, Spring and Autumn.
.
Afterwards the teacher play the song again
for them and when the song is over, asks
them to close their eyes and while they are
with closed eyes, he/she erases some of the
months on the board:
Exp: January…. March, April…, June….
August, September,
October, November…....
Then, he/she asks the students if they can
guess which month is missing?
The teacher fills the blank spaces. And
applaud them when they are correct.

The teacher gives to every student printed
worksheet for homework:
•1st to practice Months and seasons-
reading and speaking.
•2nd worksheet to practice writing
Yes, months of the year. Some of
them may use mother tongue to
answer my question.
Students watch me and try to repeat

Students find this funny and start
guessing. In this way they practice
seasons and months together.
Students open their eyes and start
guessing and say February, May,
July, December.
