• Ships and planes have vanished without a trace.

• No distress signals were sent in many cases.

• Wreckage is rarely found.

• Flight 19 (1945) – Five U.S. Navy planes disappeared during training.

• USS Cyclops (1918) – A Navy ship with 309 people disappeared.

• Mary Celeste (1872) – A ship found abandoned, crew missing.
