How much do you know about writing a news report?

• When you are reporting something that has happened, most of your verbs should be in the past tense.

• There are exceptions but these should be rare. ​

FORMAT

• Title/Headline: choose a catchy title to grab reader's attention

• Introduction: Mention the topic of your article and a short explanation.

• Body: Use all points given - write them in paragraphs - elaborate the points by giving examples or explanations.

• Conclusion: End it with a clear conclusion that tells the reader what the current situation is, or where they can find more information.

• Capitalize, like all titles

• Make readers want to know more
