Writing In Counts

Today, you will work on writing in the counts for rhythms in 6/8 time.
We are still keeping it basic with only dotted quarter and 8th notes being used in these rhythms.
We will test over this in the next week or so.

The following slide will show you an example of the counts.

We have been counting in "2" as opposed to "6," so that is how we will write in the counts.
Use the number for the downbeat, and then a "+" for the "and."
You may write the (+ a) in parentheses on the dotted quarter notes if you would like, but I did not in this example.
