What is the difference?

1. The pronoun “you” has 2 different forms in Spanish:

   tú and usted.

2. It is important to use the correct form of “you” in order to demonstrate respect.

3. If you are not sure which form to use, it is best to use the formal version “usted.”

• Someone you refer to by their first name.
