Light behaves differently depending on the object that it hits.

This happens when a light hits a surface and bounces off. It means that light is reflected. This occurs with reflective or shiny objects such as mirrors, glasses, or a phone screen.

Reflection

It is the bending of light as it moves from one material to another like air to water. When it goes through water, which is denser than air, it moves slower. When it happens, the light is refracted making an object seems to be divided into 2 parts.

Refraction

Some colors are being absorbed. When all the colors of light are reflected and not one is absorbed, the object appears to be white. If all the colors of light are absorbed as it hits an object, it appears to be black.
