cells of living organisms.

Carbohydrates - like bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, candy

Carbohydrates are made up of Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen

They provide fast, short term energy.

They make up glucose, sucrose, fructose, cellulose

Polymer - polysaccharide

Lipids - like oil, butter, fats, steroids

LIpids are made up of Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen

They provide long term energy, insulation, and make up cell membranes

❏

They make up glucose, sucrose, fructose, cellulose

Monomer-glycerol and fatty acids

Polymer - Triglyceride

Proteins - like meat, beans, nuts, eggs, chicken, fish

Proteins are made up of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen

They provide structure, repairs and builds tissue, and helps fight disease, and

speed up chemical reactions

They make up glucose, sucrose, fructose, cellulose
