Present Continuous

We use it to talk about ongoing actions, events that are happening at the moment, it has not stopped yet.

​She is running.

I am baking.

We are talking.

They are drawing.

​Present Continuous

​ To conjugate the verb, we need the auxiliary verb BE and add 'ING' at the end of the verbs.

​Don't forget to conjugate correctly the auxiliary to each person.

​Present Continuous

​ To ask questions and make negative sentences, use the following format:

​Even in questions and negatives, don't forget to put the main verb in the gerund!

​Present Continuous

If the verb ends in 'e', we exclude it:

​Bake > Baking

Make > Making

If the verb ends with CVC:

​Run > Running

Begin > Beginning

CVC ending in 'w', 'x' or 'y':

​Throw > Throwing

Flex > Flexing

If the verb ends in 'ie':

​Lie > Lying

Tie > Tying
