1. Find your place (tens, thousands, or hundreds) and circle it.

2. Look next door (what place is to the right?)

3. 5 or greater, add 1 more! (If you looked next door and your digit is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, you are going to add 1 to your circled place value.)

4. Digits to the left remain the same (Don't do anything to the digits on the left!)

5. Digits to the right, zero's their name! (All of the digits to the right of your circled place value turn into zeros!)
