Rules of Conversion
Changes – Direct to Indirect speech
1.Quotation marks are omitted.
2. The comma is replaced with the conjunction ‘that’.
3. The reporting verb ‘said to’ changes to ‘told’.
4. The tense of the verb in the reported speech ( Simple present) changes to (Simple past) .
5. The first person pronoun ( I ) changes to third person pronoun ( she) and the second person pronoun ( you) changes to third person pronoun( her).
