3. Determine the "run" (change in x)

   2. If you move "left" then the run is negative

4. Plug values into the rise-over-run formula

5. Simplify as needed

1. Substitute the given slope into the slope-intercept formula

2. Use the ordered pair to substitute the x and y values into the equation:

y = mx +b

3. Solve for b (your y-intercept)

4. Write the equation

​Steps

1. Find the slope between the two points - replace this for m.

2. Use one of the two given points to find x and y

3. Solve for b.
