Paraphrasing

There are usually 2 ways to paraphrase

• Replacing words/phrases with synonyms

• Changing the structure: word order, word formation, word pattern, etc.

Being inappropriate in style is a common mistake.

• E.g: The bar graph demonstrates the proportion of Vietnamese cinema viewers in 2023.

Adopt a number of techniques to paraphrase --> increase LR score

• E.g: The cost per cup in Melbourne increased dramatically over time.

  • --> There was a dramatic increase in the cost per cup in Melbourne over time.

  • --> A cup of coffee in Melbourne had become significantly more expensive over time.
