​Boulevard (Blvd.): a large, wide street with trees on both sides. Often, there's a median with trees.

​Lane (Ln.): a narrow road, often in a rural area.

​Highway (Hwy.): a major public road that usually connects several cities.

​Causeway (Cswy): an elevated road that passes over swampy terrain or water.

​Beltway (Bltwy): a highway surrounding a city that permits quick movement without entering the city.

​Pathway: a walk for pedestrians.

Sidewalk: a way for pedestrians to walk and not intended for bikes or motorbikes or cars.
