• You should NOT be logging in where anyone else can see your screen...especially not displayed on the board

• On your desk, attached to a monitor, written on a whiteboard

• Multiplier impact if: You use it for multiples, you use it for PS or secure materials

• When you send information (email, chat, etc) regarding a student include ONLY one identifier.  

  • This includes name, student number, date of birth, etc

• If further information is needed, we will reach out through a second email/chat chain for that information.

Since February 20th...

• 8 compromised accounts

• 1 of those was logged into 435 devices

... and some of them will sell it

Social Media:

• Parents have the ability to opt out of directory information...this process is now managed by DPI through the ParentPortal, so more parents are opting out

• BEFORE posting a photo tied to a name you must verify with the Data Manager that that information can be shared publicly

Who can you tell about a student?

• Confidential information must only be shared with CUSTODIAL GUARDIANS

  • Custodial Guardians are the parents on the birth certificate unless court/DSS paperwork is also available

• Working to ensure PowerSchool contacts page is correct
