Intro to Circles

You will need to turn your graphic organizer in AFTER you complete the lesson, so make sure you are following along!

DEFINITION: a line that goes from the center of the circle to any point on the circle

FORMULA: Radius = Diameter divided by 2

RADIUS

DEFINITION: A straight line that goes from one side of a circle to the opposite side AND through the center of the circle.

FORMULA: Diameter = Radius x 2

CIRCUMFERENCE

DEFINITION: a ratio between the circumference and the diameter of a circle. It is approximately 3.14

FORMULA: Circumference divided by diameter
