Introduction
The Present Simple Tense is used when we talk about actions that happen with certain regularity. It means habits and routines, some general or true facts are also expresed using this tense.
Auxiliary Verb:

Rules
In 3rd persons (She, He, It) in affirmative sentences we must add "s" to the main verb of the sentence. There are some exeptions which will be analized later.
Mark lives in New York
Negative sentences are made with DON'T & DOESN'T which is the negative form of the auxiliary verb.
I don't drink coffee in the mornings/ She doesn't eat meat.
Questions are formed by placing the auxiliary verb at the begining of the interrogative sentence: Do you like hamburguers? Do you live in Medellin?

Uses
Routines: Things most of people do everyday or all the time.
We take a bath everyday
You cook the dinner every night
Habit: Actions that certain people realize in an particualr way
Sara visits his family every year
We go to the gym every nigth
I go to school on weekends
General Facts: Used to state fact, how things exist or behave (always/ permanently). Irrefutable actions.
Earth moves around the sun/ The sun raises in the east/The sky is blue/Water boils at 100C°/ A dog has four legs/ It rains a lot in winter.

Verbs Rules
1. For verbs that end in -O, -CH, -SH, -SS, -X, or -Z we add -ES in the third person.
go – goes
catch – catches
wash – washes
kiss – kisses
fix – fixes
buzz – buzzes
2. For verbs that end in a consonant + Y, we remove the Y and add -IES.
marry – marries
study – studies
carry – carries
worry – worries
NOTE: For verbs that end in a vowel + Y, we just add -S.
play – plays/ enjoy – enjoys/ say – says
