Fantasy vs. Reality and Fact vs. Opinion

Life through high school is an extraordinary feeling for every teenager that goes through it. People say that high school is the most exciting and happiest moment in a student’s life. I actually didn’t believe that before because I was in high school and doing many assignments and projects. I hated doing those because it took away the time that I was supposed to be having fun. When I became a senior in high school, that was when I started to think that I guess those people were right.

Research papers, multimedia assignments, and creative writing in the form of plays or short stories, while not assigned by many teachers on a weekly basis, are assigned at some point during the academic year by most ... teachers. Just over three-quarters report having students complete a research paper (77%) or a multimedia project (77%) at some point during the current academic year. Two-thirds (66%) have students engage in creative writing, such as poetry, a play, a short story, or a piece of fiction, at least once a year.

Cats are better pets than dogs because they can groom themselves. First, cats don’t need to be brushed. Cats don’t need it because they can comb with their rough tongues. Next, they don’t need to be washed. They don’t need to be washed because they also use their tongues to wash. Finally, they lick themselves. They lick themselves to stay shiny and soft.

Felis catus has had a very long relationship with humans. Ancient Egyptians may have first domesticated cats as early as 4,000 years ago. Plentiful rodents probably drew wild felines to human communities. The cats' skill in killing them may have first earned the affectionate attention of humans. Early Egyptians worshipped a cat goddess and even mummified their beloved pets for their journey to the next world—accompanied by mummified mice! Cultures around the world later adopted cats as their own companions.

Summer is one of the four weather seasons and is characterized by long days and short nights. It occurs in regions around the North and South Poles and is experienced when the pole is tilted towards the sun. Effects of the sun are therefore stronger. The temperatures are high with heat waves and the season brings drought and dry winds.

It is foolish to wear high-heeled shoes. They force your feet into an unnatural position. They concentrate your weight on the balls of your feet instead of distributing it across the entire sole of each foot. They cause your ankles and knees to buckle outwards so that you have to strain your calves and thighs to keep your legs straight. They do not allow you to step onto the heel of your foot, so you cannot walk quickly or run in them. Only a really silly person would want to hurt her own legs and limit her freedom in this way.
