United States Capitols

• Each state within the US has 1 state capital city.

• Capitals were created within each state to contain the meeting place for its state's legislature and offices for the state's governor, though this is not true for every single state.

• The US's first capital city was New York City in 1785.

• Our capital city here in CA, is Sacramento.

• The entire US also has 1 capital city, Washington DC.
