Although being a good listener is very important in communication, it is a characteristic that is not intrinsic to positive communication so we do not considered it as a correct answer.

According to a multi-national survey, people use more negative words than positive words.
The study reveals that individuals of all ages use 50% negative words, 30% positive and 20% neutral words.
Negative statements frequently center on what you do not want or do not understand.

In order to improve your positive communication, you should first of all be able to identify negative words. So you can avoid saying/writing them and also to be able to turn a negative sentence into a positive one.

Negative sentences
"It's taking you too long to complete this report."
Using expressions such as "too long" might make the person feel a lot of unnecessary pressure and its time dedicated to that task undervalued.
Moreover, "Stop talking" is also extremely bossy and unpleasant. It would be better to poliely ask for a moment to organize your thoughts.

Positive sentences
"It's taking a little bit longer than I expected for this report to be finished. Thanks for waiting."
Using qualifiers such as a "bit longer" and showing gratitude promotes a more positive way of communicating a delay.
"I appreciate all your effort. Might I sugest this ... ?"
Here's a delighful way to not undervalue your colleague's work and still be able to share your opinion on the matter.
