​Just in case you need a little refresher: Carnivores eat living meat. Herbivores eat living plants and vegetation. Omnivores eat living plants and animals, and detritivores eat dead and decaying organisms are also called decomposers. Scavengers are animals that consume dead organisms that have died from causes other than predation or have been killed by other predators.
