Parallel Lines Cut by a Transversal​

​Linear Pairs

Two angles that form a line. The measure of both angles will add up to 180 degrees, making them supplementary. ​

Adjacent Angles​

Two angles that share a VERTEX and a SIDE

(side by side) .

Supplementary Angles​

When two or more angles have a sum of 180 degrees, making a straight line. ​

​

Complementary Angles​

When two or more angles have a sum of 90 degrees, making a right angle. ​

Vertical Angles​

Angles that are OPPOSITE of each other when two lines intersect.

Vertical angles are CONGRUENT. ​

Corresponding Angles​

Angles located at the same position of each intersection.
