These are examples, but there are many other ways that were not included in this list.

• ​Paraphrasing AND using mostly words form the original text- whether you give credit to the source or not.

• ​Using a direct quote without using quotation marks- whether you give credit to the source or not.

• ​citing a source you haven't read just because you read the review of the source (think the samples from a website used in search engine results)

Tips to AVOID plagiarising

Remember plagiarising is different than paraphrasing.

Don't copy the text. Do give credit by citing sources.
