Challenge or Expansion

By Ms. Fitzgerald

2

What does this mean?

There were many points in history were religions were challenged by people or faced with certain challenges. These may have caused religions to either split or expand in some way. This can then be the reason for multiple denonminations existing within one religion which can share one overall belief or faith system buy may differ with smaller beliefs, practices or rituals. Example: Christianity having Catholic, Protestant, etc.
