13 American Colonies

​The British Empire had colonies all over the world--from Ghana, India, and Pakistan, to the state of Maryland.

​

Maryland was one of 13 colonies that were part of the British empire until the declared (1776) and won independence (1781).

​Open the Jamboard.

• ​Label a page with your name.

• ​Draw ten circles on your page.

• ​These circles are the money you earned for one month of work

• ​ Three students will represent Parliment. These students will levy taxes.

• ​To pay a tax, erase coins from your page and add them to the Government's coffers.
