​Like in English it is about speaking in the present time. Here are some examples. Je suis étudiant = I am a student. Je suis étudiante = I am a student (feminine). Je danse = I dance & Je chante = I sing. Now how do you know if a verb is being conjugated and/or if it is at the infinitive form? The Infinitive form isn't the same as a conjugation.
