Read and understand the questions
Shift the decimal point to the right (by counting the zero)
Check and write answer

What does it means by shifting the decimal by counting the zero? do you know?

YES

so for example: Convert 45/100 into decimal

Look at the denominator

100 has two zeros

So we are going to shift the decimal at the back of 45 two times to the left

= 0.45

This is the place value which have decimals

So we can say that

digit 4 is in the tenths place
the value for digit 4 is 0.4
digit 5 is in the hundredths place
the value for digit 5 is 0.05
