Warm-Up: Last class, we discussed four commonly used rhetorical appeals in an argument. 

1. Establishing Credibility (Ethos)

2. Emotive Language (Pathos)

3. Use of Logic (Logos)

4. Instill Urgency (Kairos)

Create an argument using all four of these appeals and complete sentences. 

Visit procon.org and browse through the different debate topics. Then, select at least three you are willing to work with. 

During this time, you should select one topic to work with. Provide at least three reasons to support your claim. Each reason should have supporting textual evidence. Copy and paste into a word document or write on a separate sheet of paper. 

Exit-Ticket: In your opinion, who had the most effective argument and why? What claims, reasons, and/or evidence allowed the argument to be clear, convincing, and engaging? Use evidence from your notes to support your response.
