Integers Review

​Multiply and Divide with negatives

• ​one negative = negative answer

• two negatives = positive answer

• ​if lots of negatives count them, odd negatives are negative answer and even negatives are positive

​Add with negatives

• ​Same Sign: Add the absolute values (no negatives) then keep the sign

• ​Different Signs: Subtract the absolute value (biggest minus smallest) and keep the sign of the bigger number

​Subtract with negatives

• ​Do not subtract with negatives, instead use KEEP CHANGE CHANGE

  • ​KEEP the first number

  • ​CHANGE subtraction to addition

  • ​CHANGE the sign of the second number (positives become negative and negatives become positive.
