Poll
What is the most widely explained theory about the formation of the universe?
Big Bang Theory
Steady State Theory
Pulsating Theory
17
LeMaitre and Gammow proposed the big bang theory. This theory says that the whole matter of the universe was once concentrated in an extremely dense and hot fireball at the beginning of the universe.
18
developed by Bondi, Thomas, Gold German, and Fred Hoyle.
the number of galaxies in the observable universe is constant, and new galaxies are being created continuously out of the empty space, filling the gaps caused by those galaxies that have crossed the boundary of the observable universe
it can be concluded that the overall size of the mass of the observable universe is constant; therefore, the steady-state of the universe is not disturbed at all
19
the universe is pulsating, which means that our universe is supposed to be expanding and contracting alternatively.
this theory also accepts that our universe is currently expanding, but it will not keep on expanding all the time.
according to this theory, this expansion of the universe may be stopped at a certain time, and then it will start contracting due to the gravitational pull.
with time this contraction will come to a point where the explosion of the universe again takes place, and the expansion of the universe will start. So in this way, this alternate expansion and contraction will be continued in the pulsating universe.
