Today we will work on Compound Words:
When we sound out each word, we will be tapping out each sound on our fingers and saying them out loud.
Compound words are two words, put together to make a new word and meaning.
3
Our first compound word:
backpack
back + pack = backpack
4
Next, the word toothbrush:
tooth + brush = toothbrush

5
Our next word is
football:
foot + ball = football
6
Remember a mirror can help to see our mouth making the correct sounds in words.
We need to always sound out each word by tapping our fingers to each sound, then pulling them together to read the word!
