Main idea exercise

___________. The road to make a dream come true is made of individual steps. If we look at the whole road, we can feel overwhelmed. We can’t do everything, so we do nothing. But if we take one step at a time, little by little we reach our goal.

_________ . Our family and friends might not agree with our dreams, but we are the only ones who can know what is best for us. Following a dream can be lonely. Sometimes we must walk alone on the road to our dream.

______________ . If we always choose the easy way, we will never reach our goals. Sometimes it is necessary to take risks. To make our lives different, we need to do things differently, and that can be frightening. But if we always do everything in the same, safe way, nothing ever changes in our lives. If we want change, we must try new ways of doing things.

____________ . We often know exactly what we need to do, but we don’t do it. Most of the time, it is because we don’t feel like it. We wait to take action until we are in the right mood, but the right mood never comes so we don’t do anything. Every successful person knows that we don’t need to ‘feel like it’. We just need to do it, whatever ‘it’ is.
