Ch 35 Quick Review:
Metabolism is the sum of all the chemical precesses occurring in an organism
Carnivores primarily eat other animals; herbivores eat plants
Endotherms produce their own body heat through metabolism; ectoderms get their body hear from the environment
Pangea was a singe supercontinent. It began to break apart about 200 mil years ago to form the current continents. This breakup caused the new landmasses to have different climates. It is hypothesized that some animals could not adapt to the changes and became exinct.
